Hey Everyone! We've posted a new song on our myspace page, it's a full-band demo of "The Finish Line." Check it out and let us know what you think!

We've also posted pictures from our performances at Lost and Found, The Fest 6, and Rooftop Films on our Flickr page.

And finally, please keep those votes coming in for us at the Fearless Music TV Battle of the Bands! There's only one day left to vote and we could really use the support!

Thanks so much!

12.05.07

Hey Everyone!
It's been a few weeks since anyone's heard from us and we apologize! We've been locked away in bedrooms, rehearsal spaces, and recording studios writing songs for our next record. We may post some of these recordings on myspace soon....

In the meantime, we need to ask for your help again. A few months ago, we competed in the Fearless Music TV Battle of the Bands. Because of your votes (thanks!) we won that monthly round (along with a $350 gift certificate to Sam Ash). Now we're in the final rounds of the battle and the grand prize is to play on Fearless Music TV!

I hate contests, especially online band-related ones, but I also watch Fearless Music TV and I'd be thrilled if Nakatomi Plaza could play on the show.

So please, vote for us here, it'd mean a lot to us:

http://www.fearlessmusic.tv/battleofthebands.php

And if you feel so inclined, please help us further by posting your own bulletins and blogs and telling your friends to check us out and vote for us!

New mp3s on myspace and pure volume and new pictures on flickr are forthcoming. Stay tuned!

11.08.07

Thanks to everyone that came to last week's shows with History, and extra special thanks to History for making the trek all the way up here! Check out their new record!

We're playing a FREE show this Saturday at Lost and Found with Young Hearts, Problems, and Junior Revolution. Get into it!

10.31.07

Happy Halloween! So much has happened this month:

First, we won the Fearless Music TV Battle of the Bands for the month of October! Huge thanks to everyone that took the time out to vote for us. I promise we'll spend that $350 Sam Ash gift certificate wisely. So now in a few months, we'll be competing for the grand prize of being featured on the Fearless Music TV show itself! Details TBA.

We played The Fest 6 this past Friday and the whole weekend was so much fun (yes, even the 6AM show on Saturday was fun). Thanks to Matt from Red Leader Records for coming down and hanging with us, Ali Hassan for also coming with us on the trip to hang and to do sound, Matt, Melissa and Patrick from History for letting us crash at their house, Army of Ponch and Young Livers for letting us borrow their gear, Army of Ponch (again!) for reuniting and rocking so incredibly hard, and everyone that came out to support us at our show. Highlights (besides playing!) from the Fest include seeing Sarah and Jacob from Louisville, hanging all weekend with Kenzie from History and Clair from The Immaculate Shark (who totally rocked it on Sunday night), seeing new and old friends like Brian Pacer from Ireland (even if it was only for a second), watching The Measure, Glass & Ashes, Haram, Look Mexico, Gaslight Anthem, Savage Brewtality, Defiance, Ohio, Landmines, and Seaweed. Very special thanks to Tony Winebender and everyone else that was directly involved with organizing The Fest. We can only imagine the amount of work it takes to pull off an event like this and we're very grateful to be included!

Prior to the Fest we also played the CMJ / Red Leader Records showcase at the Bowery Poetry Club. We want to thank Polar Bear Club, Dear Tonight, Scream! Hello, The New Dress, and Fire When Ready for being awesome bands and rocking so well. Special thanks to Scream! Hello for letting all the bands use their gear, and specifically to Chris Connallon for helping everyone set up and tear down the whole night. Extra special thanks to The New Dress for letting me rock my mandolin with them and to Pete Morgan from Dear Tonight for playing keyboards with us for our Built To Spill cover. All in all it was a pretty spectacular night, the turnout was amazing, the music was great, and it made me thankful for being on the best label in the word (Matt and Claire, thanks again for everything!).

Tomorrow night we're playing a free show at Lost and Found with our great friends History from Orlando, FL. They're pretty incredible live so please come out!

Thanks for a great month!

10.14.07

Due to circumstances beyond our control, tomorrow's show at 90 Central in New Brunswick, NJ has been canceled. See y'all at CMJ and The Fest VI, and please keep those votes coming!

Thanks to everyone that came to see us this past weekend at 331 Somerset, we had a blast playing and watching the other bands!

We have a ton of great shows coming up including the CMJ Music Marathon / Red Leader Records showcase, The Fest VI, and shows with Young Livers, The Immaculate Shark, History and Problems! Click on the shows page for more info.

Jack!, playing and hanging with History, bbq'ing with Chuck in Charlotte, seeing Landmines in Richmond, hanging with Clair at Belle Isle and getting the new Langley Holland ep, hearing the new Haram songs, playing Siren Records, and celebrating the end of tour at the Alligator Lounge. I'm sure I'm leaving out some stuff (sorry!) but again, thanks so much for a great tour!

hello everyone,
your presence is requested at our show this saturday night. not to be melodramatic, but the official release of "Unsettled" has been 4 years in the making so if there's any show of ours you come to this year it should be this one. we're extremely proud of the songs we've written and the record we've made with J. Robbins, and we'd like to share it all with you - complete with fantastic new artwork by Beth O'Brien at Blank Pictures and backed with support and love from our friends at Red Leader Records.

our release show is doubling as a benefit for Callum Robbins, son of J. and Janet. if you don't know about Callum's situation please read about it here.

if you can't make it to the show you can still make a donation online!

needless to say, the Robbins family greatly appreciates your support so please give generously. J. has given (and is still giving) so much of his life and creative energy to a lot of music and countless records we all love and i think we as a community, united by our passion for the music underground, should give him something back. think about it.
